Bob received the information below from the Herts Sports Partnership that your Club members may be interested in.  There are loads of courses being offered over the school half term in February.  A lot of sports are covered not just badminton, but there are several line judging/umpiring courses on the list.  Please can you pass this on to your members.

The Letchworth league are holding their fun pairs (mens pairs and ladies pairs) tournament on Saturday 13th March.  The format will be changed this year to rotating partners.  Each game you will play with a different partner, against a different pair.  As you rotate you accumulate your own score, the winner being the one with the most points at the end of all the games.
 
It will be held at Hitchin Boys School, from 12 to 5pm and the entry fee is £5 per person.

Hi everyone,

I seem to have volunteered to organise a wine tasting!  Trouble is, by definition, it's the kind of evening you don't really want to be driving to.  So, having chatted about it over a glass or two of the stuff last night, we thought the best thing is to first see who is interested, and then work out what the most central point is, so that a taxi ride won't be too expensive for anyone.  We suspect it may turn out to be Hitchin, in which case, Jeremy did make noises about possibly having it at his house (though I don't think he's mentioned it to Jo yet!).  Any other volunteers to supply the venue would of course be welcome! Timing would be a Saturday in April some time, providing we can find a date that suits everyone.

 So, can you let me know if you would like to attend, and I'll start thinking about the logisitics of it all.
